Welcome to The Robotics Blog! We’re glad you found us. I’m not one for lengthy introductions, but if there is something you want to know, ask away!

The purpose of this blog is to bring quality robotics content to you. We’ll find the cool stuff then post it here with our own commentary. You need to do nothing except visit this site excessively — the robots demand it!

Any questions can be electronically mailed to the author, at the address which is listed here: dan@roboticsblog.org for spam-bots to find and spam. Thank robots for spam-filters!

Oh! Before I go, here is a picture of me to look at. It’s fine with me if you hang it on your wall.

We are Bots 4 Tots: Doing Our Part to Bring Robotics to Kids!

Bots 4 Tots is a charity started this year to bring free robot building workshops to kids, ages 10-15, in the Chicago area. We really like your blog and thought that Robotics Blog might be interested in our efforts for an article. Or, we could collaborate in some other way! Like I said, this is our first year and we’re just a few goofballs trying to get kids interested in robotics, and the summer sessions we are now taking donations for will be our very first. We’re really stoked, and are currently looking to connect with other like-minded people out there who appreciate the cause! Pass it on!

Check out our fantabulous new websitem http://www.bots4tots.org, if you want to know more. Contact me directly if you’d like to! I’d really love to hear from you: I am not only the PR Director, I am the co-founder and co-dreamer-upper of this idea!

I am the creator and editor of another blog about [mostly] robots. If you take a look at my site you’ll see that I also have a few notes about some other geeky things too.
I think your blog is great. You have some interesting posts and videos about robots and AI, and I’d love to make reference to a couple of them on my site.
Anyway, check out my website http://www.supermegarobot.com/ if you want to read more details about it. It’s in Spanish, but feel free to contact me in case you have any questions or comments.

My name is Nina Vir and I am a junior at Beverly Hills High School. I am currently working on a project called “Love Hacking”. “Love Hacking” is a short documentary which follows the story of Tim Heath, a robot inventor who falls in love over the Internet and journeys to Nepal to meet his fiance for the first time. They marry the next day!

The film is being created by Jenni Nelson as a part of her MFA degree in Documentary Film and Video at Stanford University. The film has already been taped but now we are raising funds and awareness to complete the post production of the film.

I was hoping that Love Hacking could be featured on your website. Since the main character Tim is a robotics engineer, many of your readers will find the story very interesting. The role of technology in the movie is quite significant.

Here is the link to the Kickstarter page, which has a short preview and other info about the film:
